Levoit is one of the best-selling air purifier brands in the US, while Dyson is recognized as a premium and reliable manufacturer. This time, I will compare these two brands: the Dyson TP02 and Levoit Core 400S.
What makes Dyson stand out is its premium-build quality, innovative filtration technology, and Air Multiplier technology. Both air purifiers have many smart features, can be controlled through smart apps, and have built-in air quality sensors.
Dyson uses a two-stage filtration technology, whereas Levoit uses a three-stage. Both have high-quality and highly efficient HEPA filters, but, in my opinion, Levoit uses a much better pre-filter and activated carbon filter.
Neither of these models produces ozone; they are CARB-certified and are 100% safe to use. I find both Levoit’s VeSync and Dyson’s My Dyson smart apps highly user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing, and informative, providing all the necessary information and additional features for both air purifiers.
What may be the biggest difference here is the room coverage, which is about 403 sq. ft. for the Levoit Core 400S and 110 sq. ft. for the Dyson TP02. In suggested room sizes, these air purifiers will clean the air 4.8 times in one hour.

The Verdict: Which One is the Winner?
Though this comparison was a close call, it’s important to note that these are two different types of air purifiers intended for different consumers. However, my preference leans toward the Levoit Core 400S. This doesn’t imply that the Dyson TP02 isn’t a good device.
Simply put, the Levoit has a larger airflow, cost-effective filters, a better carbon filter, lower maintenance costs, and is a more affordable device overall.
Nevertheless, if budget isn’t a problem and you want a premium, aesthetically pleasing air purifier, then the Dyson is a worthwhile choice, and you won’t be disappointed.
