The Levoit Core 600S and Coway AP-1512HH are some of the best air purifiers I have tested so far. They found their place in many buying guides I wrote on the Air Purifier First.
In this article, I will present an in-detail overview of these two air purifiers’ features, specifications, and test results, which I will then compare and decide which one is a better buying option.
The Levoit Core 600S covers rooms of up to 635 sq. ft., which is more than double the coverage of the Coway AP-1512HH, which covers rooms of up to 361 sq. ft. The Levoit uses a three-stage filtration technology; it is 100% ozone free and safe to use.
The Coway, on the other hand, uses a four-stage filtration technology consisting of a pre-filter, True HEPA filter, activated carbon filter, and ionizer. It is CARB certified but produces ozone in allowed amounts and only when the ionizer option is activated.
Levoit Core 600S stands out for its much more advanced options, the possibility of connecting with the VeSync smart app and being voice-controlled.
All in all, I’m impressed with these devices!

Which One Does It Better?
Choosing a winner is not easy, especially when you have high-end air purifiers like these two. First, I want to highlight that whichever air purifier you buy, you won’t go wrong.
Considering all the tests, the Coway AP-1512HH provided slightly better performance, but it lacks advanced options. It is also quieter overall and not too expensive to maintain. However, I think the performance, noise levels, and operating costs weights more than smart features.
Even though the Coway is a bit outdated feature-wise, it is a slightly better option to buy than the Levoit Core 600S. But, to be clear, nuances determined the winner in this comparison.
