For first-time air purifier buyers, deciding on the perfect device for their needs is almost always challenging. In this article, I will compare two small air purifiers from Levoit, the Core 300S and the Core Mini.
What’s common to these two models is their construction, build quality and affordability. However, everything else is totally different. The Levoit Core 300S is a smart air purifier equipped with many smart features, uses a True HEPA filter, and covers larger rooms. On the other hand, the Core Mini is a smaller device designed for smaller rooms and lacks advanced features but offers an innovative aroma pad feature.
It’s best to use the Levoit Core Mini in rooms of about 71 sq. ft., while the Core 300S is suitable for rooms as large as 219 sq. ft. In suggested room sizes, both air purifiers will clean the air approximately 4.8 times in one hour, which aligns with AHAM’s recommended standards.
Apparently, the Core Mini is quieter and more suitable for bedrooms or similar places. It’s also a much smaller power consumer. For a quick visual comparison and more detailed features comparison, scroll down a bit to view the comparison table.

The Verdict: Which One is the Winner?
This comparison wasn’t particularly challenging, mainly because the Levoit Core 300S stands out as a much superior option. The Core 300S offers a significantly better overall performance and more features compared to the Core Mini.
The biggest drawback of the Core Mini is its lack of a True HEPA filter, not enough features, and low CADR. However, it can still clean the air well in very small rooms (such as bedrooms) and is an okay choice, particularly if you’re on a budget.
