Levoit Core 300S Vs Blueair 411 Auto – Comparison (2023)

Levoit and Blueair are huge competitors and are among the largest air purifier brands. In this review, I will analyze, compare, and decide a winner between the Levoit Core 300S and Blueair 411 Auto air purifiers.

Both are compact air purifiers, perfect for small to medium-sized rooms, and they have some outstanding features worth mentioning. The Levoit Core 300S is suitable for rooms of up to 219 sq. ft., while the Blueair 411 Auto covers slightly smaller rooms of up to 190 sq. ft.

These air purifiers use a three-stage filtration technology, with Blueair’s HEPASilent technology as an additional stage. The first stage is a pre-filter: a nylon mesh in Levoit, and a washable fibrous filter in Blueair. The second stage is a True HEPA filter in Levoit and a particle filter in Blueair. Lastly, both use carbon filters—pellet-based in Levoit and fibrous in Blueair.

In terms of advanced features, both have an air quality sensor, an air quality indicator, and an auto mode. However, the Levoit takes it a step further with the VeSync smart app, which provides many advanced features such as remote control, improved presentation of air quality data, voice control, and more.

All in all, these are impressive air purifiers that are certainly worth considering. Keep scrolling to see how their specifications compare in the table below.

Which One Does It Better?

I already said this would be a very tight battle, primarily because these air purifiers have performed almost identically in all tests, have many mutual features, and cover almost identical room sizes.

However, my preference in this comparison is the Levoit Core 300S. After analyzing all the specifications, test results, and various aspects of these two air purifiers, the Levoit stood out as a superior and wiser choice than the Blueair 411 Auto. I’m especially fond of its True HEPA filter and the VeSync smart app!

Don’t get me wrong, the Blueair 411 Auto is also a fantastic air purifier, but in this comparison, the Levoit takes the crown!

I just found your review site and was quite impressed. Thanks for offering this to the general public. I won a Blue Air 411 but am not satisfied with the way it filters cigar smoke. I smoke a cigar a week or every two weeks. I read somewhere that Levoit Core 300 would take care of my problem but I doubt that. False marketing I think. Do you think there is a product out there that really works for my issue?

Hi Gabriel, thanks for your kind words.

Actually, there is no commercial air purifier capable of constantly removing cigarette smoke. Why? Usually, there isn’t enough carbon in the home air purifier’s carbon filters.

You would need a more comprehensive system than a home air purifier for such a purpose or an air purifier with a pellet-based activated carbon filter containing as many carbon pellets as possible.

That’s why I always suggest opening windows while smoking and then using an air purifier afterward to thoroughly clean the air in your place.

An air purifier that would be sufficient for cigarette smoke is the Winix 5500-2, especially due to its pellet-based carbon filter.

P.S. The best possible solution would be to smoke outside.
