The GermGuardian AC4825 was one of the top-selling air purifiers until brands like Levoit showed up. I will compare the Levoit Core Mini and the GermGuardian AC4825 air purifiers this time. Clearly, these are totally distinguishing air purifiers, but I discovered that many people seek to compare these two, so here we are.
These two are minimalistic air purifiers, as they offer nothing special features-wise and are extremely simple to use. The Levoit Core Mini is a small air purifier that covers rooms of up to 71 sq. ft. It doesn’t have advanced features but has a filter reset indicator and aroma pad features. The GermGuardian AC4825, on the other hand, covers larger rooms, of up to 167 sq. ft., which makes it much stronger than the Levoit. It also doesn’t have any advanced features but has a filter reset indicator.
As for the filtration technology, the GermGuardian AC4825 uses a three-stage filtration technology consisting of a Pre/Charcoal Filter, True HEPA Filter, and UV-C Light. The Levoit uses a three-stage filtration as well, consisting of a Pre-filter, HEPA Filter, and Activated Carbon Filter.
I performed several tests on these two air purifiers, compared their specifications, analyzed them, and decided which one is a better buying option. But firstly, let’s compare their specifications in the table below.

Which One Does It Better?
As you probably noticed, the GermGuardian AC4825 is a much stronger air purifier, higher, and it obviously takes up much more space. It would be great for a living room, office, kitchen, or similar larger rooms, while the Levoit Core Mini would be great for a desk, office desk, nightstand, and similar places.
After analyzing all the specifications, performance test results, noise levels, operating costs, and all the characteristics of these two, I concluded that they are both a bit expensive for annual maintenance. The GermGuardian is a huge power consumer and has expensive filters, while the Levoit has an expensive filter that has to be changed frequently, and it has aroma pads that also have to be changed from time to time. Frankly, I expected the Levoit to be more price-friendly.
Anyhow, the GermGuardian AC4825 provided much better results in performance tests, has a UV-C light as the filtration stage and uses a True HEPA filter, which is not the case with the Levoit. These are why the GermGuardian AC4825 is a much better buying option than the Levoti Core Mini.
I would go with the Levoit, only if you plan to use it in the bedroom or some tiny room. Besides these two air purifiers, I suggest checking the Levoit Core 300, which is more powerful than these but not too pricey.
