I’m really trying to test as many air purifiers as possible from different brands, sizes, and price ranges.
This time, I have the Beurer LR210 on the test bench, which isn’t as popular as some other models and doesn’t offer anything particularly notable, but somehow ended up on my list of devices to test.

The Beurer LR210 is a very small air purifier with a CADR of just 65 CFM (110 mÂł/h), which places it in the category of the smallest air purifiers we’ve tested.
It has no smart features, no advanced options, but it’s fairly interesting, well-built, and has some characteristics you might like.
How We Tested the Beurer LR210?
1. For the filter efficiency testing, we used the Temtop LKC-1000S laser particle meter, which measures PM2.5 (µg/m3), PM10 (µg/m3), Particles (per/L), and HCHO (mg/m3) in the air, and also calculates the AQI.

2. We placed the Beurer LR210 in a 120 sq. ft. (11 m²) room. Then, we recorded the initial air quality values using the Temtop laser particle meter and let the Beurer LR210 run at maximum speed.
3. After 60 minutes, we measured the new values using the Temtop laser particle meter and saved the data.
4. We tested the Beurer LR210 at every fan speed using the AirGradient ONE air quality monitor in a 1377 ft³ (39 m³) room. Before each test, we burned incense to raise PM1 levels to 190–200 µg/m³. We then turned on the purifier at the selected fan speed and measured how long it took for the PM1 reading to drop back to 0 µg/m³. By repeating this process at every fan speed, we were able to compare how effectively the Beurer LR210 removes fine particles across its entire operating range, not just at maximum speed.
5. Next, we placed the Beurer LR210 in a glass box, which we then filled with smoke. Then, we measured how much time was needed for the air purifier to remove all the smoke from the box.
6. Using a special noise measurement tool, we tested the air purifier’s noise level at all speeds. We measured the noise level on the dBA scale.

7. Finally, we measured the power usage at all speeds using an energy meter, after which we calculated how much it would cost to use the device at a particular fan speed for one month. For reference, we used an energy price of $0.12 per kWh.

The Beurer LR210 is a very small air purifier with a low CADR and small room coverage.
We tested this device’s airborne particle removal performance, but beyond that, I also used it at home for a while to see how it performs in real-world conditions.
The conclusion is that I think for the price of the Beurer, you can find a much more powerful and higher-quality air purifier that’s also more efficient.
What I consider a downside of this device is that it uses an ionizer; however, I’m glad that this feature is turned off by default and you don’t have to use it if you don’t want to.
PM1 Time to Zero Test
PM1 to Zero is a new test we introduced a while ago, in which we test how long it takes an air purifier to bring PM1 to zero in a room of 1377 ftÂł (39 mÂł).
To be honest, the Beurer LR210 didn’t show particularly impressive results. This air purifier needed 107 minutes on speed 3 (max speed) to bring PM1 to zero.
For comparison, the Coway Airmega 50 needed 125 minutes on its lowest speed and 76 minutes on max speed for the same result, and what’s interesting is that it has a similar CADR to the Beurer.
For example, the Levoit Core 400S, which is in the same price range as the Beurer in the US, brought PM1 to Zero in just 68 minutes on speed 1.
When you add to that the fact that the Levoit produces noise of 43.6 dBA on speed 1, while the Beurer produces noise of 62.1 dBA on max speed (the setting for its 107-minute test result), you can really see just how enormous this performance gap is.
Testing in a 120 sq. ft. (11 m²) Room
In addition to this test, we tested the Beurer LR210 in a 120 sq. ft. (11 m²) room, where we used a Temtop laser particle meter to measure how much the Beurer would improve air quality on max speed over 60 minutes of operation.
During that time, the Beurer LR210 improved air quality by 87%.

For comparison, small air purifiers like the MOOKA B-D02L and GoveeLife Mini improved air quality by 87% under the same conditions.

However, some slightly more powerful devices, such as the Afloia Kilo, improved air quality by 90% on the same test.
All in all, the Beurer produced a somewhat weaker result than average, though still within the range typical of small air purifiers.

We tested noise levels at all fan speeds using a special noise measurement tool.
However, before I move on to the test results, I’d like to point something out. Namely, the Beurer LR210 supposedly has a sleep mode, which is counted as an additional speed, but it really isn’t one. When it’s in sleep mode, the Beurer just dims the lights and indicators on the device, but the fan speed switches to speed 1, meaning there’s no additional slowdown of the fan. So I’d say this air purifier really only has three fan speeds.

On the lowest fan speed, the Beurer LR210 produces noise of 40.2 dBA, which is really good and in the range of some of the best-optimized air purifiers.
On max speed, the situation is somewhat different. It produces noise of 62.1 dBA.
Noise Levels Test - Comparison
This chart compares the noise levels at the minimum and maximum speeds of the Beurer LR210 air purifier with those of its competitors.
If you look at the chart above, you’ll see that, for example, the Levoit Core 300 produces noise of 64.9 dBA. However, on the PM1 to Zero test at max speed, it showed a twice-as-fast result. It brought PM1 to zero in 55 minutes on max speed, while the Beurer needed 107 minutes.
Frankly, the Beurer LR210 is well optimized for noise; however, what I feel it’s missing is a much stronger CADR.
In this class of air purifiers, i.e., air purifiers with a small CADR, I rarely expect an overly powerful motor. However, the Beurer LR210 has a 60W motor, which is much more than I expected.

This means that if you were to run this air purifier on max speed, 24 hours a day, for a period of one month, your electricity bill would increase by $4.32.

As you can see in the chart shown, the Beurer is right at the top in terms of power consumption, but it’s also ranked as the air purifier with the smallest CADR.
For example, the GoveeLife Mini has an even smaller CADR, of around 50 CFM, but its power consumption is optimized to match that CADR. Under the same conditions, this device would cost you around $0.65.

If we add the cost of replacement filters on top of the electricity consumption, we can say that the Beurer could have been much better optimized for maintenance.
Filtration Technology
The Beurer LR210 uses four-stage filtration technology: a pre-filter, an activated carbon filter, a True HEPA filter, and an ionizer.

The filter is positioned on the front side, right beneath the device’s cover. What I would have liked is for the carbon and HEPA filters to be separate, so that you could change the carbon filter much more often, since it typically gets dirty much faster.
An advantage the Beurer has over some other air purifiers is that it uses rectangular filters. They’re easier to clean, and they mostly show better results in tests.
Pre-filter
The first stage of filtration is the pre-filter. This stage captures large particles such as dust, allergens, pet hair, and similar, thereby improving filtration and extending the HEPA filter’s lifespan.

Something to keep in mind is that the pre-filter needs to be cleaned from time to time, usually 1-2 times a month, and more often if needed.
Activated Carbon Filter
The second filtration stage is the activated carbon filter, whose main purpose is to remove unpleasant odors from the air, neutralizing smoke and VOCs.

Although this is a pellet-based carbon filter, it showed weaker performance results in testing compared to the competition.
What I feel this device is missing is a stronger CADR, but also, certainly, a larger filter. In that case, it would also perform much better on bad odor neutralization tests.
HEPA Filter
According to the manufacturer, the Beurer LR210 uses a True HEPA filter that captures small airborne particles such as dust, allergens, mold spores, smoke, and similar.
This filter captures 99.95% of small airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns in size.

Honestly, it’s a real surprise that such a small air purifier uses a True HEPA filter, and this is a big plus for the Beurer air purifier.
Still, filter size and CADR are decisive here too, and I think that if these had been different, they would have led to a much better test result.
Ionizer
The ionizer isn’t a true filtration stage. It doesn’t trap particles like the pre-filter, carbon filter, or HEPA H13 do.
Instead, it charges airborne particles with negative ions, making them clump together and settle out of the air or get pulled into the main filters more easily.
It’s best described as an assist feature layered on top of the mechanical filtration, not a standalone cleaning stage.
How to Replace the Beurer LR210 Filter?
The Beurer LR210 uses filters that aren’t washable, which means they need to be replaced once they get too dirty.
Fortunately, this air purifier has a filter reset indicator that will let you know when it’s time to replace the filters. This period is usually every 6 months.
The replacement process is extremely simple and takes just a few steps.
Installation and Setup
As for preparation before the first start, the Beurer doesn’t require any advanced setup.
All you need to do is take the filter out of the device, unwrap it from the protective film, and put it back into the device. That’s it, the Beurer LR210 is ready to work.
Place it in the desired location, plug it in, and turn it on.
Design
As for the design, the Beurer LR210 doesn’t offer anything revolutionary.
This is a standard rectangular air purifier with filters on the front side and the motor at the back.

As for build quality, it’s really good, and on par with some much more expensive devices. The plastic is of excellent quality, and everything is well assembled.
The Beurer LR210 is available in white.
Something else I like about this device is the carrying slot, which makes it easier to move this compact air purifier from room to room.
All in all, I think the Beurer LR210 will fit into pretty much any setting.
Controls and Display
As for the controls, they’re all located on the control panel on the top side of the device.

There are touch buttons, as well as LED indicators that mostly show which option is currently active.
Although I do miss smart controls and a remote control, I have to say that the controls on this air purifier are well arranged.
Airflow
This is a rectangular-type air purifier. It draws air in through the openings located beneath the cover and on the sides of the cover at the front.

The air is then filtered and exits through the openings on the top side.

Size and Dimensions

Besides that, there’s also the filter reset indicator, and that’s it, the Beurer LR210 doesn’t have anything else it could boast about.
