Alen BreatheSmart FIT50 Air Purifier – Review

BreatheSmart FIT50 is one of the best Alen BreathSmart models. It is probably the best-sized air purifier that Alen BreathSmart made. If you look at the price, room coverage, features, power consumption, and filter lifetime then you see that this model is one of the most affordable in the Alen BreathSmart series.

Alen BreatheSmart FIT50

Don’t get me wrong; if you need an air purifier that needs to cover a large room as 1300 square feet, then no question to ask the better solution is BreathSmart 75i. The same can be said if you need a smaller room air purifier up to 700 square feet then Alen BreathSmart FLEX is a better choice.

All BreathSmart models are made with highly advanced technology, and it is very little difference among them. However, that difference is what makes you choose the proper model for your needs.

Alen BreatheSmart FIT50 is an ideal choice for a large room up to 900 square feet. Like already mentioned this model also has many options, a True HEPA filter, an ionizer, and the ability to change the color of the front panel. Like all Alen BreathSmart models, this one also comes with a lifetime warranty.

Filtering System That You Need

Alen BreatheSmart FIT50 has a few different filtration systems; it all depends on the type of filter you are using. If you buy base/ordinary FIT50, then you are probably using the True HEPA-Pure filtration system, because extra filters need to be ordered separately.

True HEPA -Pure Filter

This filtration system is basic, and most models come with that filter. True HEPA-Pure is good to remove allergens like pollen, pet dander, dust, mold spores. If you have allergy troubles, then this filter is recommended.

Inside the True HEPA-Pure filtration system is a pre-filter, which primary purpose is to hold big particles getting to the True HEPA-Pure filter. True HEPA-Pure is the base model, and all other filters that you can buy as an extra option include True HEPA-Pure filter.

True HEPA-Silver Filter

It has a True HEPA-Pure filter like already mentioned above. But after a pre-filter, air goes through a silver filter which is specialized to trap bacteria, mold spores,s and maybe even some viruses. After a True HEPA-Pure filter is carbon layer which is good to remove bad odor, chemicals, and gases from the air, including smoke.

True HEPA-FreshPlus Filter

True HEPA-FreshPlus is made for a home that needs extra freshness. This model has a pre-filter, True HEPA-Pure filter as well an Activated carbon layered filter that is on its own good at keeping the room fresh. However, in this model, Alen BreathSmart added an extra True HEPA-FreshPlus filter that works amazingly at removing kitchen odor, VOCs, gases, smoke, and other fumes from the air.

True HEPA-OdorCell Filter

This filter model is made for people with pets, nursery rooms, or any other stinky room. We all know how smelly can it be when a baby poops, and you need to clean her in a nursery room. Now with this filter model nursery room will be fresh as it is new.

True HEPA-OdorCell has the same filters as the True HEPA-Pure base filter system. Only in this version at the end of the filtration process is patented Alen’s Molecular Conversion powder. Air is pulled through the layer of Alen’s Molecular Conversion powder which destroys all the bad smells at a rapid speed.

If needed, you can turn on the ionizer. The ionization process is on a bad reputation because low-quality air purifiers were emitting harmful components like ozone. However, Alen BreathSmart FIT50 is not such a model. This is a high-end air purifier that will not emit any harmful ozone at any time. It is a perfectly safe top-use ionizer included in FIT50.

Choose From Many Options

You can adjust Alen BreathSmart FIT50 to your needs. You can turn the ionizer on or off by simply pressing the button. FIT50 has a timer setting, and you can choose from 2, 4, or 12h periods. Speed is also adjustable, and you can choose from four speeds. The lowest speed is ideal for sleeping and bedroom. At low speed, Alen BreathSmart FIT50 won’t make any noise that will disturb your sleep

In case you need to filter the dirty air fast you can choose turbo speed. Around power on button is air quality indicator which moves from red to blue color. Red being bad air indicator and blue is an indicator for clean air. All the options on the top panel can be locked in case you have a child that likes to push buttons. Also, if all these options just confuse you, you can always use auto mode and let Alen BreathSmart uses its advanced sensors to monitor air and adjust the settings to the air quality in the room.

Alen’s Exclusive SmartSensor

Already mentioned sensors to detect air quality are what make this air purifier stand out from the rest of the pack. With an exclusive patented SmartSensor from Alen’s laboratory, you can be assured that the air quality measured with such a sensor is correct. Thanks to the sensors air purifier can work automatically.

Choose Front Panel Color

The design of this fantastic air purifier is just amazing. A simple box but with an extra touch of removal front panel. The color of the front panel can be chosen, and that way, make your air purifier person and best fit for your home.
