In this article, I compare the Levoit Vital 200S, which ranks among the best air purifiers we’ve tested, with the Levoit EverestAir, one of Levoit’s most premium air purifiers.
The Levoit EverestAir has a CADR of 360 CFM (612 mÂł/h), while the Vital 200S delivers a CADR of 245 CFM (416 mÂł/h).
Both models offer plenty of smart features, excellent build quality, well-optimized motors, and high-quality filters.
However, the Levoit EverestAir has several innovative and interesting features, which is why it can be considered a slightly upgraded version of the Vital 200S.
So, which one should you buy? Keep reading to find out.
Our Verdict

To be clear, the Levoit EverestAir and the Vital 200S are among the best air purifiers I have ever tested. Still, there can be only one winner and the better buying option in this comparison.
For me, and I believe for most people, the Levoit Vital 200S is the better choice. It delivers outstanding performance, uses a well-optimized motor, and offers plenty of smart features.
In addition, it’s more affordable than the EverestAir.
I would choose the Levoit EverestAir only if I planned to use the air purifier in a large room, or in a space larger than about 500 sq. ft.

Performance Test – Comparison
We tested the airborne particle removal of both air purifiers in our predefined rooms, using a Temtop laser particle meter to measure air quality improvements.
What’s interesting is that we tested both models in a 560 sq. ft. (52 m²) room, which is, to be frank, more suitable for the Levoit EverestAir due to its significantly higher CADR.
In that test, the EverestAir improved air quality by 96%, while the Vital 200S achieved a 92% improvement.
Particle Removal Tests - Comparison
We placed the Levoit EverestAir and Levoit Vital 200S in two separate tests and measured their performance using the Temtop laser particle meter.
In a smaller 320 sq. ft. (30 m²) room, the Levoit Vital 200S improved air quality by 96%.
Overall, both air purifiers delivered outstanding performance, but the Levoit EverestAir is noticeably more powerful and more effective in large spaces.
When it comes to bad odor neutralization, I would say their performance was almost identical.
Noise Level Test – Comparison
Both Levoit models offer five fan speeds and are well optimized for noise. You can easily find a fan speed that balances performance and noise to suit your preferences.
At the lowest speed, the Levoit EverestAir produces 40.1 dBA, while the Vital 200S measures 41.0 dBA.
Noise Levels - Comparison
Comparison of noise levels at all fan speeds between the Levoit EverestAir and Levoit Vital 200S air purifiers.
At the maximum speed, the EverestAir reaches 63.2 dBA, compared to 62.2 dBA for the Vital 200S.
As shown in the chart, both air purifiers produce nearly identical noise levels.
| Fan Speed | Levoit EverestAir (dBA) | Levoit Vital 200S (dBA) |
|---|---|---|
| Sleep Mode | 40.1 dBA | 41 dBA |
| Speed 1 (Low) | 41.2 dBA | 44.4 dBA |
| Speed 2 (Medium) | 46.5 dBA | 45.7 dBA |
| Speed 3 (High) | 53.3 dBA | 57.9 dBA |
| Speed 4 (Turbo) | 63.2 dBA | 62.2 dBA |
However, what stands out is that the Levoit EverestAir delivers a much better CADR-to-noise ratio, especially at maximum speed.
Overall, I would rate it as slightly better optimized for noise than the Vital 200S.
Operating Costs – Comparison
When it comes to operating costs, the first thing I noticed is that the Levoit EverestAir uses a more powerful 70W motor, while the Vital 200S is equipped with a 50W motor.
Monthly Power Consumption Cost - Comparison
Comparison of monthly power consumption costs for the Levoit EverestAir and Levoit Vital 200S air purifiers at all fan speeds.
This means that if you were to run both air purifiers at their maximum speeds, 24 hours a day for one month, your electricity bill would increase by about $5.34 with the Levoit EverestAir and about $4.22 with the Vital 200S.
In addition, there is the cost of replacement filters. While the filters for the EverestAir last slightly longer, they are also more expensive.
| Fan Speed | Levoit EverestAir (W + $/month) | Levoit Vital 200S (W + $/month) |
|---|---|---|
| Standby | 1.6W ($0.14) | 1.4W ($0.12) |
| Sleep Mode | 4.8W ($0.42) | 3.5W ($0.3) |
| Speed 1 (Low) | 9.3W ($0.82) | 5.8W ($0.5) |
| Speed 2 (Medium) | 13.9W ($1.22) | 7.9W ($0.69) |
| Speed 3 (High) | 23W ($2.02) | 26.3W ($2.3) |
| Speed 4 (Turbo) | 60.9W ($5.34) | 48.2W ($4.22) |
Taking into account the higher filter cost and the more powerful motor of the EverestAir, I would say that the Levoit Vital 200S is significantly more affordable in terms of annual maintenance.
