Levoit offers plenty of air purifiers with different characteristics, features, and coverage. This time, I will compare the Levoit Core 600S and the Levoit LV-H134. These are two enormous air purifiers, very robust and ideal for large rooms.
They both have interesting, smart features such as an air quality sensor, air quality indicator, and auto mode. However, the Core 600S stands out with the possibility of connecting to the VeSync smart app and features like the display lock, which aren’t available on the LV-H134.
The Levoit Core 600S covers rooms up to 635 sq. ft. (59 m²), while the Levoit LV-H134 covers rooms up to 492 sq. ft. (45.7 m²). Both use three-stage filtration technology consisting of a pre-filter, main filter, and activated carbon filter.

Our Verdict
The Levoit LV-H134 and Core 600S are fantastic air purifiers with outstanding performance and amazing features. I have used both for some time, and I’m more than delighted with what they offer.
However, as I tend to decide the winner in every comparison, in this case, it would be the Levoit Core 600S. The Core 600S has much more advanced features, is more affordable to maintain, and is an overall more modern air purifier. It also performed better in our tests.

Performance Test – Comparison
These two are among the largest Levoit air purifiers, meaning they both offer high CADR, large room coverage, and large filters.
To determine which Levoit is the best in terms of performance, we tested these two in our particle removal test, measuring how much they improved the air quality in a specific room. We gathered data using the Temtop laser particle meter.
Particle Removal Tests - Comparison
We placed the Levoit Core 600S and LV-H134 in two separate tests and measured their performance using the Temtop laser particle meter.
Both air purifiers delivered outstanding results in the test performed in a 560 sq. ft. (52 m²) room, but the Levoit Core 600S was a bit more efficient. It improved the air quality by about 96%, while the LV-H134 improved the air quality by about 94%.
Both devices operated at maximum speed for a period of 60 minutes.
This is a great result and confirms that these are truly efficient Levoit models. However, the Levoit Core 600S showed better performance and has become more efficient in removing airborne particles.
Smoke Box Test – Comparison
In our unique smoke test, they also performed amazingly. In fact, these are two of the fastest air purifiers in the smoke test.
The Levoit LV-H134 needed 12 seconds, while the Levoit Core 600S needed only 9 seconds.
Because of its higher CADR, which is 410 CFM (697 m³/h), the Levoit Core 600S was 3 seconds faster than its opponent, the Levoit LV-H134.
Noise Level Test – Comparison
Levoit has made improvements with almost every new air purifier they release, and the same is true for the Core 600S. When it comes to noise, I like the increased number of fan speeds on this model.
It has five fan speeds, while the LV-H134 has only four. Both have sleep modes and are relatively quiet at the lowest speeds.

At the lowest speed, the Levoit Core 600S produces a sound of 43.9 dBA, while the LV-H134 produces a sound of 41.8 dBA.
On the other hand, the Core 600S is a bit quieter at maximum speed; it produces a sound of 68.5 dBA, while its opponent produces 70.3 dBA.

In fact, the Levoit LV-H134 is one of the loudest air purifiers at maximum speed that we have tested. It’s clear that the Levoit Core 600S is quieter than the LV-H134.
Operating Costs – Comparison
These two air purifiers use motors of almost the same power; the Levoit Core 600S uses 49W, while the LV-H134 uses 45W.
However, I must say that the Core 600S is much better optimized. Please refer to the chart below to see how much they will cost you at all speeds.

Let’s imagine using these two air purifiers at their maximum speeds, 24 hours daily, for a period of one month. In this situation, your electric bill would increase by about $4.22 for the Core 600S and about $4.43 for the LV-H134.
The Core 600S is a bit better optimized for power use. Besides, there is also the cost of replacement filters, which is more expensive for the LV-H134, especially considering the shorter filter replacement time for this device.

Thank you for such a detailed & in-depth review of individualproducts.
I’ve planning to buy one for kitchen odors and conflicted between H134 and the 600S, mainly due to filter specs. H134 filter is larger and heavier (12.6×12.6×15.6 inches and 6 lbs) compared to the filter of 600S (12×12×13 inches and 3.2 lbs). Is it because h134 filter has more activated carbon pellets? If that’s the case, shouldn’t it last longer than 600S due to the fact that h134 has lower CADR and larger filter ? I’d really appreciate your insights on this. Thank you.
I don’t think the LV-H134 filter necessarily contains more carbon pellets; I believe it’s heavier due to the additional plastic in its construction.
