In this article, I will compare the IQAir HealthPro Plus and the Levoit EverestAir. Although the IQAir is significantly larger and may seem to be a more powerful air purifier at first glance, the real-world situation is somewhat different.
The IQAir HealthPro Plus covers rooms up to 406 sq. ft. (37.7 m²), while the Levoit EverestAir covers rooms up to 558 sq. ft. (52 m²).
Both devices use three-stage filtration technology, and most importantly, neither has an ionizer or UV light. This means both air purifiers are 100% ozone free and safe to use.
The Levoit stands out with plenty of advanced features. While the IQAir doesn’t have smart features, there is a more advanced version of this device with smart features and an integrated air quality sensor.
Our Verdict

Frankly, this was a very difficult decision for me, especially since these are two outstanding air purifiers.
When it comes to performance, I believe the IQAir HealthPro Plus generally has very few competitors. However, the high maintenance costs, outdated design, less efficient noise optimization, and lack of smart features are factors that may discourage many users. On top of that, the IQAir is a very expensive device.
Therefore, even though the IQAir delivered better results in the performance tests, if you don’t need a medical-grade filter and don’t have issues with VOCs or odors, I would recommend choosing the Levoit EverestAir. In all other cases, the IQAir HealthPro Plus would be the better option.

Performance Test – Comparison
The Levoit is a much more powerful air purifier, with a higher CADR, which is why I tested it in a larger room than the IQAir.
The IQAir HealthPro Plus has a CADR of 260 CFM (440 mÂł/h), while the Levoit EverestAir has a CADR of 360 CFM (612 mÂł/h).
In a 560 sq. ft. (52 m²) room, after just 60 minutes of operation at maximum speed, the Levoit EverestAir improved air quality by approximately 96%. It reduced the PM2.5 concentration from 111.7 to 4.8 µg/m³.
Particle Removal Tests - Comparison
We placed the IQAir HealthPro Plus and Levoit EverestAir in two separate tests and measured their performance using the Temtop laser particle meter.
On the other hand, in a 320 sq. ft. (30 m²) room, the IQAir HealthPro Plus also improved air quality by 96%.
It’s easy to conclude that both devices delivered outstanding results in rooms close to their recommended coverage areas.
However, it is important to note that the IQAir HealthPro Plus uses a significantly higher-quality HEPA filter, meaning it captures particles smaller than PM2.5 much more efficiently. Because of this, I would say the IQAir has an advantage in this test.
Not only that, but the IQAir also uses a superior carbon filter, which is why it achieved better results in the smoke test as well.
Noise Level Test – Comparison
Let me say this right away, even before discussing the official results. The IQAir uses a motor design that dates back several decades, while the Levoit uses a more modern, higher-quality, and better-optimized motor, which is clearly reflected in the noise performance.
We tested noise levels at all fan speeds.
At the lowest speed, the Levoit EverestAir produces 40.1 dBA, while the IQAir HealthPro Plus produces 40.7 dBA.

At maximum speed, the IQAir produces 64.3 dBA, whereas the Levoit produces 63.2 dBA.
Not only was the Levoit slightly quieter in our tests, but its motor also produced a noticeably more pleasant and natural sound. The IQAir has a buzzing noise at higher speeds that I personally find less comfortable to listen to.
Because of this, I would say the Levoit EverestAir is better optimized for noise.
Operating Costs – Comparison
When it comes to power consumption, I haven’t yet used an air purifier with a more power-hungry motor than the IQAir. Frankly, I believe that 215W is extreme for an air purifier.
The Levoit, for comparison, uses a 70W motor while delivering a significantly higher CADR than the IQAir.
If you were to run both devices at maximum speed, 24 hours a day for one month, your electricity bill would increase by approximately $12.83 with the IQAir and about $5.34 with the Levoit.

In addition to electricity costs, there is also the cost of replacement filters. While IQAir filters are considerably more expensive, they also last much longer. On average, we can say that IQAir filters require replacement roughly every three to four years, whereas Levoit filters typically need replacement once per year.
Overall, the IQAir consumes much more energy and is more expensive to maintain, which is why I would say the Levoit is better optimized and more cost-effective on an annual basis.
